Therapy designed around your goals, your story, your growth.
An integrated approach to mental wellness
My name is Joseph Mounts, and I bring nearly 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I’ve had the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds and life situations. My approach focuses on empowering clients through self-discovery and helping them build practical skills to navigate challenges and create meaningful change.
My approach to therapy is warm and supportive, but also direct when it’s helpful. While my work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I also draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), humanistic traditions, and Jungian concepts. This allows me to tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs, supporting both personal growth and practical skills for navigating life’s challenges.
In our first session, I focus on creating a comfortable, supportive space where we can get to know each other. I’ll complete a thorough assessment to help build a treatment plan that guides our work together. Just as importantly, I’ll help you identify your own goals for therapy and the changes you’d like to see in your life as we move forward. Above all, I want to create a place where your voice is heard, valued, and understood.
While I work with clients facing a wide range of challenges, my focus goes beyond simply treating a diagnosis. Therapy with me is about building a bridge to wholeness and balance—helping you grow, learn about yourself, and create meaningful change in the way you live and experience life. I welcome anyone who is ready to explore their story more deeply and take steps toward a fuller, more balanced life.
